The OnePlus 6 is out and it has some great features packed into it. The camera, design and everything else is top notch, but unfortunately, some corners have been cut to ensure that the OnePlus 6 stays in the cheaper price range and to ensure it can fight the other flagship phones.
Always buy from trusted sellers with verified reviews and trusted companies.
OnePlus has taken a nice leap in design. They have moved the fingerprint sensor from the bottom middle ( as it was in the older models ) to the back where its much more naturally positioned.
The slider has moved from the left to the right side so now you can switch your mode from normal, silence and do not disturb much easier with just your thumb.
On the back, you can find a dual camera 16MP and 20MP cameras.
As for the bottom of the phone, you got your charging USB-C port, a headphone jack, and the speaker.
You can get the OnePlus 6 in four different colors, Mirror Black, Midnight Black, Silk White, and Red. There really isn’t that much of difference on the colors for they all look amazing. The phone itself is enclosed in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 so it should be able to take most of the drops, bumps, and scratches without any big changes on the looks.
The main dimensions of the phone are 155.7 x 75.4 x 7.8 mm.
The OnePlus 6 screen is a 6,2 inch AMOLED screen. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2280 which does leave some hoping for better but is more than enough for most users.
The display itself makes around 84% screen-to-body ration that should please most users. Though the phone has gotten some angry comments for the notch on the top of it. This can be hidden within the Android settings thanks to OnePlus though, but personally, I found no problem with it.
With a 3300 mAh battery, the OnePlus 6 should last around a day of intense use for most people. A good feature for power users is the Dash Charge that gives around 60% charge in 30 minutes so you should never run out of power when you most need it
A good thing to notice though is that even with a glass body OnePlus 6 does not support wireless charging which for some might be a deal breaker.
On the back of the OnePlus 6, you can find a 16MP and 20MP cameras. The 16MP has had a small upgrade from the older OnePlus 5 and OnePlust 5T for it now increased 1.22um pixel size (up from 1.12 um). This should allow it to perform better in low or just bad light conditions.
On top of that the OnePlus 6 now also has OIS (optical image stabilization) and an EIS (electronic image stabilization) that should improve image quality even when the phone shakes and make images less blurry.
Performance on the phone is topnotch thanks to the Snapdragon 845. It packs an impressive 8 cores that run up to 2.8 GHz. Every gesture when using feels responsive and there is almost no delay on the gestures when swiping and using the phones.
Unfortunately, the OnePlus 6 doesn’t have a micro SD slot which means your stuck to 64 GB, 128 GB or the 256 GB depending on what you choose. This is clearly one of those places that OnePlus has decided to cut corners to ensure the price doesn’t go too high for this phone.

As said some of the users have not been very happy with the top notch of the screen, but overall people have been happy with the OnePlus 6.
OnePlus 6 is an amazing phone. Its quality is top notch and it shows that OnePlus generally is not said to be a “flagship killer” for nothing. The price point though shows that some corners have been cut to make sure the price doesn’t rise too high and that it can keep a cheaper price than other flagship phones.
- Better design than in the older models
- Faster than ever
- Fingerprint sensor now on the back
